Our Story

 

 

We Started as a supplier of dubbed programmes to Radio Television Malayia in 1992. We were quick to recognise the immense potential and possibilities in the film and entertainment industry and in 1994, we began producing our own programmes. These incude the magazine-format 'Prespektif' and a number of drama. We had ten staff then. In The less then two decade, we have grown into an entertainment power house with both upstream and downstream activities which are now the focus odf our subsidiaries.

We produce and distribute telemovies, tv magazines, documentaries and feature films. we also undertake communications project. Our Group of Companies now operate with more than a hundred staff. We have grown quietly but surely.

 

 

Our professionalism, commitment and sheer hard work, our emphasis, on the quality, our intimate understanding of the local film and entertainment industry and our appreciation of the global market, have all combined to project us foward to become one of the major film production houses and distributors in Malaysia today.

Perbadanan Nasional Berhad (PNS), formerly known as PERNAS,was incorporated on November 29, 1969 under the Malaysian Companies Act, 1965, In September 1996, PERNAS was privatizes through a 'Management Buyout' (MBO) in which its selected assets were taken over by PERNAS International Holdings Berhad, The new organization. Subsequently Perbadanan Nasional Berhad hence PNS adopted PNS as its new acronym. PNS commenced its commercial operations in October 1997 at a new premise located on the 9th Floor of Pusat Dagangan Dunia Putra with an authorized capital of RM1 billion, out of which, RM751 million is the paid-up capital, in which, the Minister of Finance incorporated is the major shareholder with 99.44% of the shareholdings, PNS operates under the ambit of ministry of Finance Malaysia. PNS is currently active in investment activities as Venture Capitals.

A business management graduate from Swansea, England, Ida Rahayu has always been inclined towards the business world. Coupled with her entrepreneurial spirit, knowledge of management & accountancy, desire for excellence, and guided by key
principles of effective communication and smart management, she, together with the team, have moulded Eurofine into the exemplary company that it is today – a shining beacon and a leading contender in the local film and entertainment industry.

After graduating with a Bachelor in Mass Communication (Broadcasting) from MARA University of Technology, Azlina spent the next 9 years in production and filming, including training post-production staff in video editing. She is proficient in managing
production units, researching and developing scripts, setting up systematic & efficient production systems, and controlling production budgets. She has also been instrumental in developing creative talent in the company - leading to 7 best television programme awards - including an award which she won for Best Scriptwriter in 1998.
